Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The Service is operated as a sole proprietorship under the laws of India. References to “we” or “the operator” throughout this Policy and the Terms of Service mean that sole proprietor, personally and through any name the Service trades under.

2. Information we collect

We collect and process the following categories of information, at our discretion:

  • Account data: email address, authentication identifiers (including via Google OAuth, where the associated Google profile name/email may be received), exam body, paper selection, and target exam date.
  • Usage and study data: every question attempted, answer given, time taken, flags, notes, highlights, saved items, mastery/readiness estimates, mock-exam runs and scores, streaks, and every other interaction with the Service, whether you are a registered user or an unregistered guest.
  • Device and technical data: IP address, browser and device identifiers, approximate location derivable from IP, referring pages, and any data our analytics provider (PostHog) or hosting provider (Vercel) collects in the ordinary course of operating the Service, including for guests who have not created an account.
  • Communications:any message, feedback, support request, or other correspondence you send us, which we may retain indefinitely and use as described in the Terms of Service’s Feedback clause.

We reserve the right to collect additional categories of information as the Service evolves, without obligation to individually notify you beyond updating this Policy.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect for any purpose we consider appropriate, including to:

  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
  • personalise question selection, pacing, and difficulty;
  • analyse aggregate and individual usage patterns to guide product decisions, including via third-party analytics tooling;
  • communicate with you about the Service, including product updates and reminders;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, automated scraping, or violation of the Terms of Service;
  • enforce our legal rights, including our intellectual property and database rights; and
  • comply with any legal obligation we consider applicable to us.

We do not consider ourselves bound to use data only for the specific purpose for which it was originally collected, and may repurpose it for any of the above at our discretion.

4. Sharing of information

We may share information with service providers that support the Service’s infrastructure (including database hosting, analytics, and deployment providers), each of whom processes data under their own terms. We do not sell personal data for direct monetary payment. We reserve the right to disclose any information in our possession if we believe, in our sole discretion, that disclosure is necessary or appropriate to comply with law, to protect our rights or property, to protect the safety of any person, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and support analytics, including for users who have not created an account. Continued use of the Service after such storage is set constitutes your consent to it. If your browser or device blocks these technologies, parts of the Service may not function.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as we consider reasonably necessary or useful for our business purposes, which may extend well beyond the period during which your account remains active, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law. We are under no obligation to delete data on any particular schedule.

7. Your requests

If UK GDPR (or an equivalent data-protection law) applies to you, you have the right to request access to, rectification of, erasure of, or portability of your personal data.

You can access and export your own data at any time. Use Download my data on the account page. This download has your own data: your profile, notes, highlights, saved items, bookmarks, and your study history and scores. It does not include our question bank, or the system we use to order answer options. To erase your account, fix a mistake, or ask about anything else the self-serve export does not cover, email us from your registered address via the Contact page. We act on erasure requests and reply within 30 days.

We will consider requests consistent with our legitimate business, legal, and record-keeping needs; we are not obligated to grant every request, including where data is required to defend a legal claim, enforce these Terms, or preserve the integrity of aggregate analytics or the compiled question bank.

8. Security and disclaimer

We take measures we consider reasonable to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any unauthorised access to, or disclosure, alteration, or destruction of, your data, and you agree that any remedy for such an event is governed exclusively by the Limitation of Liability provision in our Terms of Service.

9. Children

The Service is intended for adult postgraduate exam candidates. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child, we may retain or delete it at our discretion.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy at any time, at our sole discretion, by posting the revised version at this URL. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy. It is your responsibility to review it periodically.

11. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or relating to this Policy is subject to the dispute-resolution, arbitration, and class-action-waiver provisions of our Terms of Service, which are incorporated here by reference.
